Description:

Hot melt  Bituminous adhesive used to permanently bond pavement markers to asphaltic surfaces and chip seal roads.

Hot melt bituminous adhesive permanently bonds markers and delineators to pavement and is faster-setting, more economical and impact resistant than conventional epoxies. Ready for traffic in as little as one minute. Requires bituminous melter/applicator equipment.

The product is specifically manufactured to join the surfaces which are non responsive to other adhesives. Bituminous adhesives provide the significant advantage to make components adhere with rough, coarse surfaces.

Packaging:

Packed in a 25kg box, 48 boxes to a pallet.  Available per pallet or by the box.

Application:

The pavement surface should be dry, cured and clean. The product should be heated in a temperature-controlled heater/applicator with agitation system. The adhesive should be dispensed at the desired intervals at an application temperature of 202^oC to 213⁰C. The marker should be pressed into the adhesive immediately and allowed to cool for at least one minute before subjecting the marker to traffic.
